Lahari Old Age Home was established in 2011, with a concrete intention to provide care for aging destitute mothers of our secular community and help them age gracefully and end their days with dignity and honour.
Radhika Somajigari, the administrator of Lahari Old Age Home, takes care of those who have no one and manages everything for them. Lahari Old Age Home has been set up at Balaji Nagar in Paridi Korremula Panchayat of Ghatkesar Mandal of Medchal District and is bringing in orphans and old age people and feeding them.
In the name of her daughter Lahari, she established an old age home in 2011 and is serving the elderly and orphaned children. Lahari also loves to serve the elderly and orphans. There are 40 elderly and orphaned children in Lahari old age home.
From waking up in the morning to going to bed at night, adequate facilities are being provided. Among the elderly there are also disabled people who cannot do their own work. Others help Radhika by doing housework and cooking. She brings street orphans and brings them up in Lahari old age home. Donors contribute to the maintenance of the old age home. All kinds of services are provided to the elderly. They do Services such as washing clothes,gave madicine in-time and serving rice to those who cannot eat rice are done. Apart from that, they teach people how to earn money by making weave baskets, make candles, make ear rings, make chocolates in the afternoon and run an old age home with the money they sell in the market. All kinds of services are provided to the elderly.
Radhika family members also helped to serve elderly people, their mission is to serve elderly and poor people.They are protected from any danger for 24 hours. Take care of their health by giving meals, fruits and milk according to time.
